Refund, Cancellation and Delivery Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026 · Effective 7 October 2026
How payments, refunds, cancellations and delivery work for our design services and our Framer templates. We deliver everything digitally.
On this page
Plain-English summary: For services, the Kickoff Payment is non-refundable once paid, and a milestone you have paid for becomes non-refundable once work on it starts. If you cancel a project, you pay for the work done and in progress, plus a kill fee of 25% of the fees for milestones not yet started, unless your Proposal says otherwise. You can end or pause a retainer at any time by email, effective at the end of the current month, unless your Proposal sets a minimum term or notice period. If we cancel for a reason that is not your fault, we refund what you prepaid for work we have not done. Template sales are final once delivered, except for non-delivery, a duplicate purchase, or a material defect we cannot fix within 7 days. Report duplicates and defects within 30 days of your purchase. We deliver everything digitally. Your rights under consumer law and under the checkout platform’s own rules stay in place. This summary does not replace the full text below.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
WeDesignLandingPages.com (“WDLP”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a trading name of Hardik Dewra, a sole proprietor based in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, India.
This policy explains payments, refunds, cancellations and delivery for:
Services: landing page and website design, Framer development, conversion rate optimization (CRO) audits and recommendations, copy suggestions, A/B test design support and related work we do for you under a Proposal.
Templates: Framer templates and other digital products, on their own or in bundles, once template checkout is live.
A “Proposal” has the meaning in section 8.1 of our Terms and Conditions: any proposal, statement of work, quote, order form, Contra contract or offer, or invoice from us that describes Services and fees, together with any changes both parties agree in writing.
For Services, this policy summarizes the payment, refund and cancellation rules in our Terms and Conditions, which apply together with your Proposal. If anything in this policy differs from our Terms or your Proposal, our Terms and your Proposal control. Where your Proposal sets a different payment schedule, kill fee or other cancellation or refund terms, as our Terms allow, those terms apply to that project. For a project billed through Contra, Contra’s terms also decide how Contra handles the money (section 4).
For templates, this policy works together with our Template License. If our Terms conflict with this policy or the Template License about a template purchase, this policy and the Template License apply.
We provide Services to businesses and to people acting for their trade, business or profession. By accepting a Proposal, you confirm that you are buying for those purposes.
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by contract.
In this policy, “business days” means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in India.
2. Services: payments and refunds
2.1 Kickoff Payment
Unless your Proposal says otherwise, each project starts with a “Kickoff Payment” of 50% of the project fee. Small projects may be paid 100% upfront when the Proposal says so. We start work only after the Kickoff Payment clears.
The Kickoff Payment pays for two things: reserving your place in our schedule from the day we receive it, which means turning down other work for that time, and the first work we do, such as onboarding, discovery, research and planning.
The Kickoff Payment is non-refundable once paid. We refund it, in full or in part, only if you end the project because we broke our Terms and did not fix the breach (section 3.2), if we end it for a reason that is not your fault (section 3.3), or if either of us ends it because an event outside our control lasts more than 30 days (sections 3.1 and 3.3). If you cancel for any other reason, it counts toward what you owe us (section 3.1).
2.2 Milestones and the balance
If your Proposal splits the project into milestones, each milestone payment pays for the whole milestone, including the time we reserve to complete it. A milestone payment is non-refundable once work on that milestone has started, except as sections 3.2 and 3.3 explain. Work on a project or milestone starts on its start date in your Proposal or on the day we begin any work on it, such as a kickoff call, discovery, research, an audit or design work, whichever comes first.
Unless your Proposal says otherwise, the rest of a fixed project fee is due as section 12.2 of our Terms sets out, and in any case before we launch the site, hand over files or transfer the Framer project.
Payments for work you have approved, or that counts as approved under our Terms (for example because you sent no specific revision requests within 120 hours of delivery), are final.
2.3 Retainers
Retainers are paid monthly in advance. Each monthly fee pays for the time and availability we reserve for you that month. Once a retainer month has started, its fee is non-refundable, even if you use less time than we reserved, except as sections 3.2 and 3.3 explain. Unused time does not carry over to the next month unless your Proposal says it does.
You can end a retainer at any time by email, unless your Proposal sets a minimum term or a notice period. The retainer then ends at the end of the current retainer month, and we do not bill you again. If you prepaid a later month, we refund it, minus the costs described in section 6. You can also pause a retainer between monthly billing periods by telling us in writing before the next period starts. We do not bill you while it is paused, and restarting depends on our availability. Section 23.1 of our Terms and Conditions sets out these rules.
2.4 What we do not refund
Except as section 3 explains, we do not refund:
Work that has started, been delivered or been approved, including drafts, concepts, audits and research.
A change of mind, a change in your plans or budget, or a creative direction you approved and later want to change. The revision rounds and change requests in your Proposal and our Terms cover changes.
Delays caused by late feedback, content, approvals or access on your side.
Results such as conversion rates, revenue, leads, rankings, ad performance or test outcomes, which we do not guarantee (see our Disclaimer).
Costs paid to third parties, such as Framer site plans, domains, fonts, stock images, plugins or apps. Those providers refund them only under their own rules.
The costs described in section 6.
Our Terms explain how we fix Defects in work we deliver (sections 22 and 26 of our Terms). Fixing a Defect is the remedy for it, unless our Terms or the law give you a different remedy.
2.5 Goodwill refunds
We may choose to refund more than this policy requires. That is a “goodwill refund”. Whether we give one, and how much, is our decision. A goodwill refund does not change this policy or create a right to future refunds.
If we give you a goodwill refund, the rights in the work it covers stay with us or come back to us. You must stop using that work and delete your copies. If the refund covers only part of the work, this applies to that part. Before we pay, we will ask you to confirm these points in writing. If rights in the work had already passed to you, you must also sign a short document assigning them back to us, because India’s Copyright Act, 1957 recognizes an assignment only if it is in writing and signed by the person assigning. We pay a goodwill refund only after you have signed what we ask for.
3. Services: cancellations
3.1 If you cancel
You can cancel a project at any time by email (section 8), or through Contra for a project billed there. We stop work when we receive your message. You then owe us:
the fees for milestones we have completed and for any hourly work we have done;
for a milestone in progress, its full fee if it was due before work on it started, or otherwise the greater of the share of its fee that matches the work completed and our time spent at the hourly rate in your Proposal or, if it states none, our then-current rate;
any third-party costs you approved; and
a kill fee of 25% of the fees for milestones not yet started, unless your Proposal states a different kill fee.
The kill fee covers the time we reserved for your project and the work we turned away. It applies to projects. Ending a retainer is covered by section 2.3.
We count everything you have paid toward these amounts. If you have paid more than you owe, we refund the difference, minus the costs in section 6, or, for a project billed through Contra, agree to Contra returning it to you. We never refund the Kickoff Payment under this section, even if what you owe adds up to less than it. Section 23.1 of our Terms and Conditions sets out the exact calculation, and it controls. If your Proposal sets a different kill fee or other cancellation terms, the Proposal applies.
This is what happens to payments you have already made:
Kickoff Payment
If you cancel before work on it starts: Non-refundable. It counts toward what you owe.
If you cancel after work on it starts: Non-refundable. It counts toward what you owe.
A milestone you have paid for
If you cancel before work on it starts: It counts toward what you owe, including the kill fee. We refund what is left, minus the costs in section 6.
If you cancel after work on it starts: Non-refundable.
A retainer month you have paid for
If you cancel before work on it starts: Refunded, minus the costs in section 6, if it starts after your retainer ends (section 2.3).
If you cancel after work on it starts: Non-refundable. Unused time does not carry over.
Once you have paid everything you owe under this section, you receive the rights in the work you have paid for, as our Terms describe. Until then, no rights in the work pass to you.
If you end a project because an event outside our control, such as a platform outage or our founder’s serious illness, has lasted more than 30 days, section 31 of our Terms applies instead of this section. You then pay for the work done up to that point, and we refund the fees you paid for work we have not performed.
3.2 If you cancel because we broke our Terms
If you end a project because we materially broke our Terms and did not fix the breach within 14 days of your written notice, where it could be fixed, section 23.3 of our Terms applies instead of section 3.1. You pay only for the work that section describes, and we refund the fees you paid for work we have not performed, including any unearned part of the Kickoff Payment. We charge no kill fee and deduct none of the costs in section 6.
3.3 If we cancel
We may end a project or retainer in the situations our Terms describe, for example when a payment is overdue, after a chargeback, or when we are asked to do unlawful work.
If we end it because of something you did or did not do, you pay what you would owe if you had canceled yourself under sections 2.3 and 3.1, including any kill fee, as section 23.2 of our Terms sets out. Before we refund any excess, we deduct any other amounts you owe us and the costs in section 6. If we close a project after 30 days without a reply from you (section 3.4), you pay the amounts that section 10.4 of our Terms sets out.
If we end it for a reason that is not your fault, such as illness or because we can no longer do the work, we give you 14 days’ written notice, or 30 days’ notice for a retainer, or shorter notice if serious illness or an event outside our control stops us from continuing. We refund the fees you prepaid for work we have not performed, without deducting our costs, and charge no kill fee. If we cancel before work starts, that includes the whole Kickoff Payment. For a retainer, it means the unused part of the current month, in proportion to the days left, plus any later months you prepaid. You pay only for the work done up to that point. Once it is paid for, we deliver it to you and you receive the rights in it as our Terms describe.
3.4 Pauses and closed projects
If a payment is more than 7 days overdue, we may, after telling you in writing, pause work and hold back deliverables and the Framer transfer until it is paid. If you do not reply to a request from us for 14 days, we may pause the project by telling you in writing. If you still have not replied 30 days after our request, we may close it by written notice (sections 10.3 and 10.4 of our Terms). Restarting a paused or closed project may need a new slot in our schedule and a restart fee, as your Proposal or our Terms set out. Pauses and closures caused by late payment or by silence on your side do not give a right to a refund.
4. Projects billed through Contra
Contra is a freelance platform. When a project is billed through Contra, Contra collects the payments, holds some of them, and releases them under its Terms of Service. For those projects:
Contra’s terms decide how Contra collects, holds, releases and refunds project money, and how its own fees work.
A refund happens only in one of three ways. We both agree to it in writing, using Contra’s cancellation or refund tools where they apply. It is the outcome of Contra’s dispute process. Or a final decision under the disputes section of our Terms orders it.
Contra releases a payment when you approve a delivery, or when you do not ask for revisions on Contra within 120 hours of receiving it.
Before you dispute any payment with your bank or card issuer, use our refund process and Contra’s dispute process (section 9).
This policy sets out what we agree to refund. Contra’s rules decide whether and how Contra can process it. If we owe you a refund under this policy and Contra cannot process it, we will pay it another way that we agree with you.
5. Templates: refunds
5.1 Who handles your payment
Our checkout provider, currently planned to be Gumroad, takes payment for template purchases. If you buy on a marketplace, the marketplace or the payment service it uses takes your payment. When a checkout provider acts as “merchant of record”, as Gumroad does, it is the seller of your purchase and we are the licensor of the template. It charges any sales tax or VAT and handles refund requests, chargebacks and payment disputes under its own terms, and it may give refunds that this policy does not. Nothing in this policy limits the refund rules of the checkout provider or marketplace you buy from, or your rights under them.
5.2 When template sales are final
Template sales are final once we deliver your remix link or files, except in the three cases below.
Duplicate purchase
What it means: You bought the same template twice by mistake.
What we do: We refund the extra purchase in full.
Non-delivery
What it means: You did not receive your remix link or files.
What we do: We send them again. If we cannot get them to you within 7 days of your report, we refund you in full.
Material defect
What it means: The template, as delivered, has a material defect (section 5.3).
What we do: We fix it. If we cannot fix it within 7 days of your report, we refund you in full.
Our duplicate-purchase and material-defect commitments cover problems you report within 30 days of your purchase. After that, your rights under consumer law still apply (section 5.5).
A full refund is the price you paid for the template. If the problem affects one template in a bundle, we refund that template’s share of the bundle price: the price you paid divided by the number of templates the bundle included when you bought it.
We do not give refunds for:
A change of mind.
Buying the wrong template.
Not knowing how to use Framer.
Wanting features the product page does not list.
Problems caused by your edits, by third-party tools or by changes Framer makes after delivery.
5.3 What a material defect is
A “material defect” is a problem in the template, as we delivered it, that stops a feature listed on its product page from working, such as a page, section, breakpoint, CMS collection or component. Descriptions of style or results, such as “high-converting”, “clean” or “easy to edit”, are not features. Examples of material defects are a remix link that does not open, a page or section listed on the product page that is missing, or a layout that is broken at a screen size the product page lists. The “product page” is the page that describes the template, on our site or on the marketplace where you bought it.
To check a defect, we may ask for screenshots, a screen recording, the steps that cause it, or view access to your project.
5.4 After a template refund
When you receive a full refund of what you paid for a template, whether from us, the checkout provider or a marketplace, or you cancel or withdraw from the purchase, the license from that purchase ends. For a template in a bundle, a refund of its share of the bundle price ends the license for that template only. A refund of a duplicate purchase ends only the duplicate license. A partial refund or a price reduction does not end your license.
When a license ends, you must stop using the template, delete your copies, remixed projects and files, and take down any website built with it, as our Template License explains.
5.5 Your rights as a consumer
If you buy a template as a consumer, the law where you live may give you rights, for example to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund when digital content is faulty or not as described. This policy does not limit those rights. Where they give you more than this policy, they apply. You may also be able to take a complaint to a consumer body or court where you live.
5.6 EU and UK consumers: right to withdraw
This section applies when you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom and we, rather than a merchant of record, are the seller of your template. When a merchant of record such as Gumroad sells to you, it is the seller, and its terms explain any right to withdraw.
Consumers in the EU and the UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content bought online. Because we deliver templates right away, where we run the checkout, we will ask you to agree, by an active choice, that delivery can start immediately. We will also ask you to confirm that you understand you then lose your right to withdraw, and we will confirm both in your order confirmation. Once delivery starts after that agreement, you can no longer withdraw, but your rights for faulty templates (section 5.5) still apply. If you did not give that agreement before delivery started or, if you are in the EU, we did not confirm it to you, you keep your right to withdraw for the period the law gives you.
6. Fees, currency and refund timing
Unless this policy says otherwise, we deduct from any Services refund the fees and currency costs we cannot recover. These are platform, payment-processing, bank and transfer fees, currency-conversion costs, and any exchange-rate loss between the date you paid and the date we refund. Examples are Contra platform fees, card processing fees and international transfer fees.
We do not make these deductions:
When you end a project because we broke our Terms and did not fix the breach (section 3.2).
When we cancel for a reason that is not your fault (section 3.3).
From template refunds, which are the full price you paid for the template or its share of a bundle (section 5.2).
Where the law does not allow them.
We send approved refunds back to the original payment method or platform where possible, in the currency you paid. If that is not possible, we will agree another method with you. We usually start an approved refund within 5 business days of approving it. Banks, card networks and platforms can take several more business days to show it. If a checkout provider or Contra processes the refund, its own timelines apply.
If we charged GST or another tax on an amount we refund, we adjust the tax as the law requires, for example by issuing a credit note.
7. Delivery
We deliver everything digitally. We do not ship physical goods, so there are no shipping charges, shipping times or physical returns.
7.1 Services
Depending on your Proposal, we deliver Services as:
Design files, usually in Figma, or links to them.
Staging or preview links.
A Framer project transferred to your Framer workspace.
A live website published on your domain.
Audits, reports, recommendations and copy suggestions, as documents or recordings.
Handover notes.
We send deliveries by email, through Contra or as shared links. A delivery is made when we send it, or share access to it, using the email address or platform named in your Proposal or the one you use to work with us. Timelines are in your Proposal. They are estimates, and they move if feedback, content, approvals or access arrive late, if the scope changes, or if a third-party service has problems.
We release final source and editable files, the Framer project transfer and the custom-domain connection only after we receive full payment. Until then, you may review drafts and previews but not publish or use them. Some steps need accounts in your name, such as a Framer account and workspace to receive a project, a Framer site plan to publish on your domain, and access to your domain’s DNS settings. You pay for these directly.
7.2 Templates
We deliver templates as a Framer remix link, as files to download, or both, as the product page describes.
Automatic delivery: you get access right after payment, on the confirmation page or in the receipt email from the checkout provider or marketplace.
Delivery by us: if we deliver it ourselves, for example when automatic delivery fails, we send your template by email, usually within 24 hours of your purchase.
If you have not received your template within 24 hours, check your spam folder, then email us (section 8). If a remix link stops working while we list the template, tell us and we will send you a working one.
To use a remix link, you need a Framer account. Publishing, hosting and connecting a domain happen on Framer under Framer’s own plans and terms, and are not part of the template price. Your remix link is for your license only (see our Template License).
8. How to ask for a refund or cancel
Email admin@wedesignlandingpages.com with “Refund” or “Cancellation” in the subject line. Please include:
Your name and the email address you used to buy or to accept the Proposal.
Your order or receipt number, or your Proposal or invoice number.
The template or project name.
What happened and what you would like us to do.
For a template defect, screenshots or a screen recording and the steps that cause it.
We usually reply within 2 business days. For a project billed through Contra, you can also message us on Contra and use Contra’s dispute process. For a template bought through a checkout provider or marketplace, you can also contact it directly.
8.1 Grievance Officer for consumers in India
If you are a consumer in India, our Grievance Officer for consumer complaints is Hardik Dewra, founder. Email admin@wedesignlandingpages.com with “Grievance” in the subject line. We acknowledge each consumer complaint within 48 hours of receiving it and give you our response, with any redress we offer, within one month of receiving it.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please talk to us before you dispute a payment with your bank, card issuer or payment provider. Most problems can be fixed by email.
For Services, filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first using our refund process, or Contra’s dispute process for a project billed through Contra, is a material breach of our Terms. Our Terms and Conditions explain what follows, including that rights in the disputed work do not pass to you or end, and that you pay the dispute fees we are charged.
For templates, if a payment is reversed through a chargeback or dispute and not restored to us, your license ends, as our Template License explains.
To respond to a dispute, we may share relevant records with the payment provider or platform, such as your Proposal or order, approvals, delivery records and our messages with you.
Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have under the rules of your bank, card network or payment provider.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply to Proposals accepted and purchases made after the change. An existing project or purchase stays under the version that applied when you accepted the Proposal or made the purchase, unless we both agree otherwise in writing. For an ongoing retainer, a new version applies as section 33 of our Terms explains. We keep previous versions of this policy. Ask us for a copy.
11. Contact
For questions about this policy, email admin@wedesignlandingpages.com with “Refund” in the subject line. Our Contact page and Legal information page list other ways to reach us and our other policies.
This policy is written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls.
